Building 36, originally uploaded by sanyam.
Redmond can be very beautiful in summer specially with all the greenary around. I just felt like clicking everytime i went out of this building. It rains a lot in this part of Washington but i was lucky to be there when it was “supposed” to be sunny. I shot this when it was just about to rain on a sunday afternoon.
This is also an HDR created with Photomatix and contrast corrected with LightRoom Beta2. With my LightRoom Beta getting expired, I will have to think of an alternate way or probably download the trial version for 30 days and process all my backlog asap.
I must say that I have not seen any piece of software like LightRoom, Its just kickass and a gift for Photographers who doesnt have the skill to use Photoshop but still want to make their photographs look better. For folks at Adobe, you guys simply rock !!!Â
Looks photoshopped
Jus kiddin, nice one !!!
Amazing clouds
.
IMO, the buildings would have appealed more if they were more uniform in color and the reflections of the clouds or the greenery around were captured.
Very good nonetheless. Keep them coming
Btw, the text around the text-boxes (Name, email, website) is invisible in FF 3.0.1 in Win XP Pro. U might wanna take a look at it.
Thanks a lot guys.
@Paresh – Fixed the bug, as this is a custom theme there will be many more such issues. I plan to start with this very basic minimalistic dark theme. Good for showcasing photographs. Keep your suggestions/bugs coming
clouds are just awesome!!
a suggestion: send the pictures in feed and send the full posts in feed.
I have reservations with publishing full post in the feed as it takes away the experience of the blog specially with Photographs.
Hey .. really great pic .. Can you tell me how many snaps you take for processing in Photomatix ?? And what exposures do you prefer for each of them ? I mean .. (-1 0 1 ) or (-2 -1 0 1 2) etc..
[...] summer vacation I wanted to buy a digicam but wasn’t motivated enough to grab one. But a few guyz and gals have finally motivated me enough to begin my hunt for the digital [...]
Correct me if I’m wrong, but this looks like too much Photoshop to me. The pic looks like a high-quality PC game still and not a real scene at all.
Just my opinion.
*NOT AT ALL* Photoshopped
In layman terms HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is a technique to bring out details in every part of the image using variable exposure of a same scene.

@kiran – I normally take 3 shots (+1 0 -1) unless
the scene is darker (-1 0 +1 +2)
the scene is brighter (-2 -1 0 +1)
Most of the times its not possible to take variable exposures without a movement in any object/subject. In that case shoot in RAW and create variably exposed .TIFF and tonemap in PhotoMatix.
I dunno anything about photography, and just shared what I thought. Thanks for the info on HDR photography.
